With a growing number of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families, wealth management services have become a cornerstone of the Indian financial services sector. This Executive Education Programme of IIMA, hosted at the Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai, is designed to provide contemporary research-driven insights into wealth preservation techniques coupled with practical client management strategies  required for running a successful wealth management practice.

The course is specifically designed for fund managers, wealth advisors, second and third generation family office managers and the nouveau riche. The programme will include modules such as asset allocation, passive versus active investing using equity and bond funds, planning family wealth and the role of behavioural biases in wealth advisory. From the point of view of participants working as wealth managers and investment advisors, the program also includes modules on client management, particularly focusing on aspects of selling intangible services and negotiation skills.

  • Real estate exposure in long-term wealth planning
  • Role of venture capital exposure
  • Planning inter-generational wealth for UHNIs and family offices: Wealth preservation
  • Understanding behavioral biases and their importance
  • Strategies for selling intangible services, and
  • Negotiation and client management skills

 

Pre-programme Preparation Guidelines: As part of the pre-programme preparation, participants are encouraged to build a basic familiarity with statistics and inference techniques, particularly regression analysis and its interpretation. This will help enhance the learning experience during the programme. The instructors will also share additional pre-read materials related to the content of the programme once the participant list is finalized.
