Women Independent Director Leadership

Boards are under unprecedented scrutiny for strategy, risk, ethics, digital disruption and sustainability. Yet, the pool of board-ready women remains under-leveraged. This intensive, practice-led programme equips accomplished women executives and entrepreneurs to serve effectively as Independent Directors—with the judgment, financial fluency and boardroom presence to add value from Day 1.

By the end of four days, participants will be able to:

  • Interpret the board responsibilities, duties, and liabilities of Independent Directors
  • Read and question financial statements, grasp value drivers, capital allocation, risk & controls
  • Building leadership capabilities and managing self
  • Oversee sustainability/ESG and stakeholder stewardship with a materiality lens
  • Strengthen board dynamics: influencing without authority, dissent with respect, and ethical courage
  • Foster real connections between governance theory and boardroom challenges.

This programme is designed for:

  • Senior women leaders (VP/CXO/Founder/Partner) preparing for board roles
  • Sitting directors seeking a refresher on governance, finance, and ESG
  • Entrepreneurs and professionals (CA/CS/CFA/Advocates) transitioning to oversight roles
  • Public sector & nonprofit leaders engaging with governance and stewardship


Prerequisite:

  • Minimum 12 years of managerial or P&L experience (preferred).
