3TP: Emerging Leaders Programme

A 4-week leadership transformation journey for young managers ready to lead people, strategy, operations, and AI-enabled growth. 

Today, young managers are expected to do more than execute. They must inspire teams, use data and AI responsibly, read markets, manage performance and make decisions that hold up under uncertainty. This programme is designed for that transition from a capable mid-level manager to credible leader. 

The 3TP programme, one of the oldest executive education programmes of IIM Ahmedabad, draws from the 3-tier executive development framework tailored to address leadership development needs across top, senior and middle-level executives of medium and large organizations.

The 3TP Emerging Leaders Programme is divided into four modules that correspond to four objectives that helps managers to lead what comes next

  • Lead with influence: Strengthen self-awareness, emotional intelligence, communication and people leadership
  • Think across the enterprise: Connect operations, supply chains, economics, accounting and finance to business performance
  • Compete through markets and strategy: Use simulations and cases to sharpen customer, brand, entrepreneurial and strategic judgement
  • Grow with AI and technology: Explore AI in business, analytics, digital platforms, digital marketing, IT systems and product ecosystems.
  • Develop leadership presence and an innovative mindset.
  • Strengthen analytical thinking, problem solving and decision quality.
  • Understand the financial, operational and market logic of the enterprise.
  • Lead teams through conflict, employee resistance and multi-stakeholder settings.
  • Use AI, analytics and digital technologies as levers for business growth.
  • Prepare for larger roles that require judgement, resilience and enterprise thinking.
  • Case discussions that put participants in real managerial dilemmas.
  • Simulations that force decisions under competition, uncertainty and time pressure.
  • Pre-class preparation and group work that build peer learning and accountability.
  • Experiential exercises, presentations, audio-visual material and reflective sessions.
  • An integrated group exercise to connect the programme modules into a whole-business view.
  • Managers currently holding positions of responsibility within different functional departments of medium to large organizations. 
  • Those who have at least five years of managerial experience after graduation. 
  • Must have demonstrated outstanding performance ability, leadership qualities and potential for growth.
  • Participants with an inquiring mind and the capacity to think clearly.
  • Those who have strong interpersonal skills.
